The Cutting Cafe Design Team Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome for my first The Cutting Cafe Design Team Blog Hop! I am so proud to be part of this team with a fabulous designer group.  If you come from Regina Easter Blog or if you start the hop here you are in the right place because I am ready for summer.

On this opportunity I used two different cutting files on my Cricut Explore to show you. If you don’t know of just to remind you, ALL the cutting files from The Cutting Cafe are available in different formats for the same price. Each file includes a SVG file that you can use on your Cricut Explore or in any other electronic cutting machine. Also come in MTC and PDF.

My first project is a hat that I made using summer colors. To make this I used the file Hat Shaped Card. I cut the base on pretty pink textured cardstock and then I cut the layers on designer paper.

One of the advantage that I found on the The Cutting Cafe cutting files is that you can import and resize them easily on your SVG program. They include the instructions and sizes for each piece so you only need to follow the instructions.

I decorated the lover part of my hut with a piece of card stock that I cup on whisper white card stock and inked with Distress Inks. This piece is part of the messages or sentiments that almost all the files include. As final touch I added a Prima paper flower that works great with my color selection.

My second project is a beach ball that I made with the Beach Ball Shaped Card Cutting File. Believed or not, on the Cutting Cafe store you could find hundreds of shaped cards, all perfect for our creation and inspiration.

To make the beach ball Shaped card I used the same color of the hat and added designer papers with the same tones that I used. As final touch I added some false cross stitched with a marker to enhance the design and added a button in coordinated colors.
