A light for Christmas

Hello everyone, today I have a light for Christmas card that I made combining old and new stamps from So Suzy Stamps. I decided to combine stamps because for me Christmas is a combination of feelings. Take a look at my card:

Normally these aren’t my colors, but these are traditional Christmas colors so of course I have to use them. The base of my card is Real Red and the second layer is whisper white.

I started by masking a part of the card to create the snow sensation and the light area. I did this using post it’s but you can also use masking paper. And then I inked the upper area with three different colors of distress inkBroken China, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch.

To create the light effect I removed the masking circle and applied the Fossilized Amber distress ink in a simple touch with the blender tool and then moved in a circular motion.

I stamped the Street Light using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and the MISTI. In a separate piece of Whisper White paper I stamped the Bow Small with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with copic markers. I fussy cut with scissors.

Using the Dot Splatter stamp and the Sahara Sand Classic Ink I stamped some tiny dots to simulate some steps over the snow. Then with Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder I stamped the Merry Christmas Brush sentiment.

To finalize the card I pasted the red Bow Small using foam tape and splattered some drops of Shimmer Mist over the blue area.
