Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you an altered composition book that I made to keep my personal notes organized. Since August and September are the official “all kids are back to school” months, I thought I would make something useful…and pretty! I used the Anchors Aweigh Collection and some scraps from others collections.

I’m not only addicted to craft products, I also love notebooks and for me, it’s very important to have at least one in my purse and/or desk!  I cannot resist them and when they are on sale for 99 cents or less, I mean, who can resist?!

I have a huge stash of Anchors Aweigh Collection paper. I chose a standard-sized composition notebook – 9 3/4″ x 7 1/2″. I like the black spine, so I did not cover that with paper. I kept the front plain, by covering it with the Anchors Aweigh 101 paper, a postage die cut with Anchors Aweigh 107 paper and some flowers that I fussy cut from 49 Shades of Grey 100. As final touch I added the word notes with white letters that I cut using die cuts.

I used some of the paper Anchors Aweigh 101, 103, 107 to decorate the inside cover and added a pocket. I made the same on the first page but this time I just partially inked the page using PowderPuff Chalk Ink Aqua and created the pocket with Anchors Aweigh papers.

The notebook has 100 pages, which made it easy to divide it into 4 sections of 25 pages each. I created the divider pages covering the notebook page with decorative paper, I used different designs of Anchors Aweigh. I then created a pocket with more paper.
