Christmas Nativity

Christmas Nativity from Joy Clair Stamps is one of the most beautiful stamp sets for this season. With this you can create the complete nativity scenery and make different pieces or ornaments if you want. Today I have my own scenery to share with you. Take a look at my project:

To create the background of these panels I used Fireworks from Imagine. I just sprayed three different colors over the whisper white pieces of card stock. I used Cantaloupe, Bahama Blue  and Pear Tart Fireworks.

All the images were stamped over watercolor paper with Versafine Onix and colored with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors Set. I fussy cut them with scissors to avoid white borders. I pasted them with dimensionals or double sided foam tape to have different heights and keeping in mind that two of these help me keep the scenery closed.

I stamped all the images included on the Christmas Nativity Stamp set over watercolor paper and colored them with Kuretake Gansai Tambi Watercolors Set. Then I created the three inside panels and using distress ink colored the central panel.

I pasted some of the images with dimensionals or double sided foam tape and others with snail adhesive. Something curious on this panel is that using the Stamp Mirror I created a double image of the cow to complete the “manger” image.

For the lateral panels I used a palm die cut and only inked a few areas to keep the area free to paste the shepherds and sheep.

As final touch I sprayed all the scenery with Sheer Shimmer Sparkle to have a fine touch all and made it more special. It also help me to active the distress ink and the watercolor ink.

Now I can carry my Christmas Nativity with me easily!
