CREATING TEXTURE USING KALEIDACOLOR INK

Creating texture using Kaleidacolor Ink. Kaleidacolor inkpads are one of the most versatile inkpads I’ve owned. This month our challenge on Imagine is texture and I decided to create an optic texture using a sweeping technique. It is fun, easy and the result varies because it depends on the weight of your hand. Using this technique will spark creativity and hopefully inspire more creative projects with Kaleidacolor palettes.

Directions:

Place a piece of white card stock on to the craft mat. If your paper is wider than the ink pad, keep the position of the colors in mind when applying them.

Open the Kaleidacolor inkpad and slide the colors together (unique feature of this inkpad) before sweeping the edge of it softly over the paper so that there is a visible texture left. You can sweep more than once, but keep the color positions steady. Leave to dry.

Using a collection of Botanical Flowers die cuts and white card stock, cut several flowers.

With a sponge dauber, ink the centers of the flowers using one of the lighter colors of green from the Fresh Greens Kaleidacolor inkpad.

Stamp sentiment using VersaMark, apply Gold Embossing Powder and heat emboss. Paste the inked and embossed decorated paper to a white blank card base with Tear It! Tape. Curve the petals of the flowers with a bone folder. Paste the flowers and leaves on the card using On Point Glue.

Finish the overall look and feel by adding the pearl embellishment to the center of the flowers. This design can be used with different colors and sentiments to create a variety of cards for any holiday or event!
