Today is the of Joy Clair Challenge and the theme for the Design Team this month is layers. I chose a fabulous stamp set to create my project, it is the Doodle Flower Background and you will love to color it. To create the layer I used embossing and die cuts – take a look at my card:

The base of my card is Whisper White card stock. I stamped the Doodle Flowers Background image over it using VersaMark and Gold Embossing Powder. Then I colored some parts of the images using the same tones of the inspiration image for the challenge. For this I used Prismacolor pencils.

After coloring the image, I cut a frame using the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frame Die from Gina Marie Designs over Daffodil Delight card stock. I pasted this frame with dimensionals. On a separate piece of chocolate chip card stock I stamped a sentiment from the Every Day Sentiments Stamp Set with VersaMark y Gold Embossing Powder and cut it like a banner piece to paste inside the embossed and colored card base and the die cut frame.
