Hi all! Today I’m back with The Cutting Cafe and something totally different to me. On this post I am working with fabric. Yes I created Fabric Cards with The Cutting Cafe files.

Fabric Cards & The Cutting Cafe

Longtime ago I worked with fabric on some cards creating embellishments but never before sewing with a machine or by hand. I had my sewing machine just for my mom use!

Well, the challenge with The Cutting Cafe is create a card using the PDF files that came in ALL cutting files and use fabric.  I decided to use these cute files the Elephant Shaped Card and Duck Shaped Card using felt.

I start by printing the Duck Shaped Card PDF files on regular paper, fussy cut with my scissors and then traced over the felt. I cut each piece on different colors of felt, three on this duck. This material is inexpensive and bring us amazing possibilities with this type of cutting files or die cuts.

After cutting the different layers I made my “master job”: sewing!!!! Why? Because I was totally inspired to create something special and was a time relaxing.

I repeated the process with the Elephant Shaped Card PDF file, but this time I only used two colors, light gray and pink. It is not adorable?

When I had finished the two fabric shaped cards, an idea came to my mind…create a crib mobil for the little baby girl of my friend Karen Blanco and complete the design with another fabulous shapes that are available on The Cutting Cafe.

Check out The Cutting Cafe Store to see all the different designs of cards, you can cut them with your hands using the PDF files or use your Cricut Explore!
