Flowers and spring using So Suzy Stamps. March is the month to use stencils and flowers and to start my creative journey I am using a very special stencil called Eddy Rose 6 from Stencil Girl. This combines the two elements of the month in one. Take a look at my card:

FLOWERS AND SPRING IN SO SUZY STAMPS

I made this card using Whisper White card stock and distress ink in four different colors.

First I secured the card stock to the stencil using masking tape and then I secured both pieces with a temporal snail to my mat. I started to paint with the ink the free areas of the stencil using Clarity Brushes (HLLSS)

After this, I removed the stencil and clean it with a dry cloth. I pasted this layer over a whisper white card base and left aside for a moment.

I cut a second layer on Vellum card stock using a Wonky Stitched Die Cut from Gina Marie Designs  and I stamped the sentiment Common Sense from So Suzy Stamps using VersaFine Onix and Clear Embossing Powder. After I removed the excess of the powder, I melted the powder on the stamped image with the heat tool.

As part of the decoration I added on top two small pieces of ribbon and a few loops of natural hemp twine that I tied with a gold staple. As a final touch I pasted an ornament piece that I made using a push mold and White Makin’s Clay and added a few drops of Novu Gloss Red Berry and Novu Gloss Dandelion Yellow  from Novu Crystal Drops.

Tadaaa! My card is ready and was very easy and fun to create!

Working with stencils is a great opportunity to discover designs and experiment and during this month you will see a lot of options that you can use in your crafts.

See you later!

  1. Just beautiful Martha. Vellum overlays are always beautiful, in my book!
