GHOSTING TECHNIQUE – WITH LOVE LACE CARD
Versamark is one of the most versatile inks for crafting. I use it for embossing, stamping tone to tone, watermark, chalking and for ghosting. Today, I am focusing on the Ghosting technique with Love Lace Card. Take a look at my card:
Use VersaMark to stamp the images that you want to use over a glossy card stock. I am using a border set called Delicate Details from Stampin Up. Let the ink dry for a few seconds.
Ink the brayer with Memento Ink and apply the ink over the stamped piece several times. Remove the excess of the ink with a dry paper towel. If you want you can re-apply the ink with the brayer to obtain a darker color.
Paste your decorated layer over a card base. If you want you can create a mat to this too. I decided to combine with different textures and tones of white. I cut a Dragonfly and sentiment using the same card stock that I used for the mat of the ghosting piece. To paste the sentiment I used On Point Glue. This works perfectly when you have to paste small and delicate details. To paste the dragonfly I used double sided foam tape or dimensionals.
Super simple and different!
TIP: You can use different images to create this technique, not only border stamps. You can also mix colors of inks, just remember to wash your brayer between each color.
