HANDMADE GIFT BOX

Hello friends, today I am featuring the amazing stencils from Rebecca Baer. I  am sharing a Handmade Gift Box that I made using the Wave Twist Petite ST-821 Stencil. It is a dual border stencil that you can use in many ways and today I used it to decorate a plain white box that I bought in a craft store. Take a look at my decorated gift box:

After I bought this box, I noticed that the material of the box is a little shiny so the ink didn’t fix well. That is why I decided to paint the outside faces with gesso and let it dry before starting the easy process. This box came plain, so I needed to assemble it.

With the box plain I secured the stencil Wave Twist Petite over it using Rebecca Baer Masking Tape and applied two colors of Distress Ink on the free areas of the border that I want to use. I used Mowed Lawn and Candied Apple. I moved and secured the stencil around the entire box. Then I sponged all the borders with PowderPuff Milk Chocolate Chalk Ink. Simple and fun!

To decorate the top of the box I created a flower with the Flower Frency Bigz Large Die from Stampin Up and the Leafy Branch die cut from DieNamites. I tied a metal button with some thick thread and pasted all the pieces with dimensionals.
