JOY CLAIR AND MY SWEET PETUNIA BLOG HOP

For my card I used one stamp set, the Sunshine Flowers from Joy Clair – a color layering stamp set that works perfect with the Mini Misti.

I used the Mini Misti to stamp each layer of the sunflower and to stamp the sentiment over the card base. Let me show you the process:

I selected three different colors of memento ink for each flower. I stamped the first layer with the lightest color, the second with the medium and the accents with the darkest color. To have all the flowers in the same line I used the same colors of green for the center of these.

For my flowers I used different combinations of Memento Ink:  Lulu Lavander, Lilac Posies and Grape Jelly for the first flower, Desert Sand, Peanut Brittle and Morocco for the second flower and Dandelion, Tangelo and Lady Bug for the last one.

I decided to fussy cut my flowers with scissors but I have the option to cut these with my cricut or any other electronic cutter, because all the Joy Clair Stamps came with SVG files. However, I love to use my scissors because they relax me!

The next step was to create a distressing background over the card base. For this I masked a lateral area with post it tape and with a blending tool I applied two different green colors of distress ink.

I removed the post it tape and temporarily arranged the flowers before stamping the sentiment included on the stamp set Sunshine Flowers.

I moved my idea over the Mini Misti again and I stamped the sentiment using Versafine Onix. I made this before pasting the flowers and leaves that I cut because I wanted to paste them with dimensionals or double sided tape to have different heights.

I finalized my card by adding some leaves that I cut with a die cut and some ink splatters that I made with Fireworks Grape Jelly.

Be sure to leave comments during the hop! We are giving away two $25 Joy Clair Stamps Gift Cards or Certificates and My Sweet Petunia is giving away a MISTI (original or mini, your choice).

Joy Clair winners will be announced in Joy Clair Blog at the end of the month and MISTI winner will be announce on this page on April 14.
