LOVE LIFE -MASKING FLUID PEN TECHNIQUE

Love Life – Masking Fluid Pen Technique. Hello crafty friends! Today I have a card that I made using a masking technique and a product called Masking Fluid Pen. This is a liquid that covers and protects the image that you want to keep out of the color or the combination of colors. Take a look at my card:

To create this card I used watercolor paper, Masking Fluid Pen, Gelatos and two So Suzy Stamps: Love Life and Bathing Suit Lane. Let me share with you the proces:

1. Take the watercolor paper and using the MISTI (SS – HLL) stamp the Bathing Suit Lane image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (SU – HLL). 
2. Cover the parts of the image that you want to keep out of color with the Masking Fluid Pen. This is liquid that you can apply with the fine point include on the bottle or with a paint brush. Just let the fluid dry before to paint over it.
3. Using Gelatos from Faber Castell start to paint your background. Remember that Gelatos are water soluble and you can use an aquapainter or paint brush to obtain better results. 
4. Let your paper dry completely before you remove the masking fluid. You can remove this with your finger tips or with a glue eraser.  
5. Stamp the sentiment Love Life using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. 
6. Assemble your card using different layers or colors of card stock.
