A new year with Joy Clair

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to celebrate with you this fabulous group of ladies that will be with us during 2018!!!

I am excited to continue for a third year as Designer in my Joy Clair family and as a Design Team Coordinator, it is not easy because, as you my notice, there is a lot of talent around but it make me happy and I am sure that you feel that in our posts every day.

I don’t like to talk about myself, but today I had to make a little presentation so I made it short and sweet! I am Colombian and my first language is Spanish. My passions are communications and crafts. I work in a Public Relations company and my “free time” is all for my crafts. Originally I worked on jewelry with metals and stones but one day I discovered the stamps and Inks and since that day I changed my jewelry table for a clean desk to make cards and paper crafts.

I live in the Sunshine State, Florida with my husband and now with one of my daughters because the oldest is in College and very soon I will be alone if I can’t convince my “mini me” to study in Miami, near home. Most importantly, we are a catholic family and God is always in our hearts and actions.

I have had the honor to be part of several design teams during the past years and I really love what I do with my crafts. My style is clear and simple and I love to use techniques in all my creations.  For today, I prepared a card using one stamp set that I received as gift on the first stamp package that Christy and Amanda sent me as DT member of Joy Clair. It is called Paper Tattoos and I combined with one of the fabulous backgrounds, Doodle Flower Background.

The base of my card is Bashful Blue cardstock and the second layer is Basic Black. Then I stamped the Doodle Flower Background  over a piece of Rose Red Card Stock using Versamark and Clear Embossing Powder. I resized the layer and pasted over the card base.

In a separate piece of whisper white cardstock I stamped the heart included on the stamp set using Versafine Onix and Clear Embossing Powder, then I wrote the word LOVE using the letters included on the same set and colored the wings with copic markers and fussy cut with my scissors. Then I pasted over the card with double sided tape or dimensionals.

Well, the last thing that I have to tell you is indescribable. My heart is too happy and my mind won’t stop working and preparing amazing things for this year but all of these are only possible if you run this way with us! So stay tuned – next week we will be having our first release of the year and you will love it!!!

See you soon!!!
