Summer is a party season and today I prepared a party light decoration or lantern for our celebration using the Jewels Foiling Paper Variety Pack. I really love this pack because it comes with the most complete selections of colors and designs of Rinea Foil and I can chose and create with them whatever I want.

I bought  a plain paper lantern in a party place and I transformed this into a unique butterfly globe using a few elements: stencil, glimmer mist or spray inks, butterflies die cuts and the most importantly the Jewels Foiling Paper Variety Pack, but don’t be afraid , I only used part of some sheets and I have enough Rinea Foil to create several butterfly globes with one Variety Pack.

First I select a 12¨x12¨ stencil and put over the lantern when it was closed and sprayed with four different colors of Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist. I used these colors of Glimmer Mist French Lime, Verdigris, Bahama Blue and Dragonfly. My lantern was mint color because I wanted a fresh look but you can find different colors on the store that you can combine perfectly with the Rinea Foil colors.

I cut different designs of butterflies using die cuts using Fuchsia/ Fuchsia Star Struck, Violet/Violet Star Struck and Blush/Gold Glossy Foiled Paper. I just passed the Rinea Foil with the die cuts through my big shot. It cuts like butter and you don’t have to worry or make any special effort, just work with the foil like you work with your paper or card stock.

I opened and gave form to my lantern and left the stenciled part for the bottom part to simulate a garden. Then I started to paste one by one each butterfly that I cut using craft liquid glue. It works perfectly with Rinea Foil and keep all the butterflies in place.

After pasting the butterflies I molded the wings of them easily with my hands and create more lanterns of different sizes to complete the party decoration and have all ready to my celebration.
