Hello crafty friends! Martha Lucia here with a very different idea to use your printer and Quick Quotes Papers.  Are you thinking of printing your photos over these papers? It is easy and quick. You only need a good printer and I don’t mind sharing mine, the Canon PIXMA TS 9020.

This is a fabulous printer, and it’s beautiful too! It is wireless and compatible with your tablet, desktop and smartphone! The installation is very simple and it comes with complete and easy instructions to start using as soon you receive it. It is available in red, white and black colors. Mine is red, perfect for my atelier!

With the Canon PIXMA TS 9020 you can print documents or photos. It has three different trays for papers, depending what you want to print and six individual ink tanks, one of which is grey to give real life to the Black and White photos!!!

But I will show you more features of my printer in my next projects. Now I come back to today’s project that is printing over Quick Quotes Paper.  It is very easy to create, you only need to select one photo and convert it into Black and White or Sepia. I decided to convert it to Sepia because I am using the 49 Shades of Grey paper and it is Black and White. I selected the 49 Shades of Grey 102 for the hand writing side to print the photo.

  • I inserted the paper on the upper tray of the printer. Just keep in mind that the side that you want to print needs to be face up. The size of photo that I selected was 4″x6″
  • I selected the photo on the screen of the printer and followed the instructions.
  • That’s it! After a few seconds my photo in sepia was printed and ready to continue with my project.

This is the original photo if you want to see the difference.

To finalize the project I just cut a mat of 5″x7″ in the same way that the photo was printed and put it inside of a frame.

I assembled the frame and pasted the sepia printed photo with dimensionals, making sure that the script of the photo coordinates with the script of the mat.

Easy and fun!

Just one tip: When you transfer or change the color of your photos to be printed over regular papers, try to keep the level of colors of the photo clear.
