Shadow with color pencils

Hello crafty friends, today I have a CAS card that I made using some of my favorites stamps from So Suzy Stamps: the Flower Flourish as the main image and Hello Friend as the sentiment. First take a look at my card and then I will share with you how to make it:

Shadow with color pencils

This is one layer created over Pool Party card stock. The first thing that I did was stamp the image of the Flower Flourish using Versamark and White Embossing Powder. This is a big image but I partially stamped it over the card base to have two different looks of this.

I embossed the image each time that I stamped it to prevent damaging any part of the previous image. The last part that I stamped was the sentiment. To make this process easy I moved my card base around the MISTI and clean the stamp each time that I used it.

Now the different part of the process was that I made it with color pencils; I selected three different tones of aqua color and enhanced some parts of the stamped image with them.

With the color pencils I created the shadows and gave more emphasis to the details of the Flower Flourish.

This kind of card is very easy to make but I always love to do something special or develop a special technique on it to inspire you and celebrate the creativity.
