Take a fly with a new butterfly

I love butterflies or better the color of butterflies. This Monarch is part of the new release from So Suzy Stamps and It is perfect to coloring or to use in natural stage. Take a look at my card:

To create this card I used Sahara Sand card stock and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. My best tool to have all the butterflies in position was the MISTI, and for this project I used the regular or large MISTI.

I stamped one by one the Monarch butterfly and the sentiment Take Flight over a second layer. In a separate piece of Sahara Sand card stock I stamped a single butterfly and fussy cut with my scissors.

Then I colored the Monarch butterfly using color pencils and blending the colors to pop up the design of the butterfly.

To finalize the card I pasted the stamped layer over the card base directly and the center of the Monarch butterfly only to can move the wings.
