August Release from Joy Clair Designs

Hi there and welcome to the party!!!! Today I want to share the August Release from Joy Clair Designs. It is a huge release that I am loving. It’s different and perfect for the season and celebrations. Six new digital stamp sets and a lot of new stencils and crafty tools. Let me start with Floral Friendship Digital Set:

Floral Friendship Digital Set included 8 different images, 4 different style of flowers and 4 occasional sentiments. I decided to use one of the flower bunches and colored them with Sparkle Glitter Pens from Spectrum Noir. These glitter pens are safe with my ink jet printer ink. The colors used were Blue Topaz, Soft Jade, Orchid, Cotton Candy, Holly Leaf and Linen.

One of my tips when I am coloring with Sparkle Glitter Pens is apply one color at the time  and let the ink dry naturally. If you want to mix the colors, like I made on my card you can also use a water brush pen.

BACK TO THE CARD:

The base of my card is Pacific Point card stock and the second layer is whisper white. I resized the top layer with the Embossed Edge Rectangle Die and created a textured area with the Blossom Dots Stencil available at Joy Clair Designs  Store and Distress Oxide Ink Worn Lipstick. In addition, I fussy cut the bunch of flowers and pasted it over the design using Crafty Foam Tape. Then, I resized the sentiment with the small size of the Embossed Edge Rectangle Dies and added some enamel dots.

For my second card, I used another flower included on the Floral Friendship Digital Set. It is a very simple card, easy to make and perfect to give it!

The card base is whisper white and I just swiped the ink pads directly over the second layer to create a great texture. Then, I die cut it with the Grid Cover Die.

This flower was also colored with the Sparkle Glitter Pens from Spectrum Noir. The colors that I used were Magnolia, Biscuit and Peony. In addition, I pasted a tiny strip of Gold Glitter paper on the lower part and some enamel dots in coordinating colors.
