Christmas in July with Joy Clair
Hi there!!! It’s not fantastic that we can celebrate Christmas in July?
I love Christmas and today the Design Team of Joy Clair Stamps is starting a complete week of Christmas in July. Here is my post for Christmas in July with Joy Clair.
This month we are using stamps to coloring to present the promotion with Leisure Art Premiun Colored Pencils. I found that this Christmas Penguins Stamp set is perfect to celebrate our cross promotion and Christmas in July.
The base of my card is real red cardstock and I die cut a second layer using whisper white cardstock and the Doted Scallops Cover Up Die from Lil’Inker Designs. If you noticed I used the cover die cut with the scallops up and not down like is on the cover photo.
I stamped some of the Penguins images in a separate piece of whisper white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored all the images with Premium Colored Pencils from Leisure Arts and fussy cut all the images with my scissors.
The next step was paste all the colored images over the decorated card base using dimensionals or double sided foam tape.
I added some details to the stamped images using the Premium Colored pencils. They blended wonderful and you can mix and create great combinations.
To finalize the card I stamped a sentiment over a separate piece of very vanilla cardstock using one of the sentiments included on another Christmas stamp set, the Cozy Snowman Wishes that is also great to colored. I cut the sentiment with a die cut and decorated with a tiny bow that I made in brown twine.
