Colorful stamped butterflies
Hello everyone!!! Welcome to Stampartpapel!!! Today I am featuring some stamps from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps. I love “colorful stamped” butterflies and definitely the Monarch Butterfly is one of the most beautiful.
To create this card I used Very Vanilla and basic black cardstock, but all the creative process is realized on very vanilla color.
The first thing that I made was inked the very vanilla layer with two different colors of Distress Oxide Ink. I used Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans. Then I placed over the inked layer a Peony Blossom Stencil from Memory Box and sponged the free areas with Iced Spruce Distress Ink. to create the pattern on the back.
Using the MISTI or Stamparatus I stamped the Monarch butterfly three times over the card and the sentiment Believe in Magic using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I re-stamped several times my images to have a very black tone over the distressed background.
With color pencils I colored some parts of the butterfly and using a white gel pen, I enhanced the dots on each butterfly.
To finalize the card, I just created a mat with basic black cardstock for my stamped layer and pasted it directly over the very vanilla card base.
