Coloring Embossing Folders Technique
Are you ready for Christmas? I started my holiday creations using different colors and this year the Gold Rose is trending so I used it to create the background of my card with a little twist: coloring the texture created by the embossing folder. On this project I used Delicata Ink and Memento Markers with two different stamping techniques!
I divided the creation process in two steps. Fist I created the wood background using a piece of rose gold cardstock , a wood embossing folder and Delicata Ink in Dark Brown color.
- Put the paper inside of the folder.
- Ink the upper side of the folder directly with the Delicata ink pad.
- Pass the sandwich as usual through the big shot.
- Remove the embossed cardstock.
- Paste the embossed layer over a card base.
Now is time to create the stamped image. For this I used watercolor paper and Memento Markers in two different colors :
- Put and secure the Wreath stamp over a Misti, this tool will help you to re-stamp all the times that you need.
- Use Memento Marker to color the different parts of the image.
- Stamp over the watercolor paper.
- With a paint brush or aqua painter, create a distress around the leaves of the wreath and in the center of the berries.
- If you consider it necessary, you can re-stamp the image after creating the distress and the paper is totally dry.
- Cut the wreath using a cross stitch die cut circle.
- Made some embellishments over the wreath using White Radian Neon Amplify and melt with the heat tool to create the puffy effect.
- Stamp the Peace sentiment on the center of the wreath using Delicata Ruby Red.
- Paste the wreath over the decorated base and finalize the decoration adding a tiny bow.
