UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND FALL TIME
Hello crafty friends! Martha Lucia here to share with you two projects created with our recently released stamps. My first project is a page from a Bible Journal that I made using the Under Construction stamp set and the second is a card that I made using the Fall Time Planner Set. First take a look at my page:
In this opportunity I decided to make my creation on a separate piece of card stock that I pasted over the page using washi tape. If you are asking why, let me show and tell you why…
I always create my pages according to the bible scriptures and I use different kind of inks and textures. Some of this inks work better than others and some bleed through the page, like in this case. To cover this “mistake” I decided to cover my older design using a card stock. It does not look bad, but since I plan to create a different look with the Under Construction Stamp Set, this is my best option.
Going back to my bible page, I stamped some of the images included on the stamp set Under Construction using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then I drew the block of wall and colored these with color pencils. My plan is to paste an Ivory piece of card stock over the left column and use it to write my feelings but I didn’t do this yet because I wanted to show you why I made this model.
My second project is a card created with the Fall Time Planner Stamp Set. This set was released in September and it is one of my favorites for this season. Take a look at my card:
Creating this was very simple. I used Very Vanilla, Old Olive and Vellum card stock.
- Cut the base. The size is 4-1/4″x11″ with score in 5-1/2″
- Cut a second layer. The size is 4-1/8″x5-3/8″
- Stamp different images included on the stamp set Fall Time Planner using Kaleidacolor Ink Tomato Vine over the second layer.
- Cut two die cuts from the set Layered Stitched Rhombus by Gina Marie Designs. Cut the big one on Old Olive Card Stock and the small one on Vellum card stock.
- Stamp the main sentiment over the Vellum die cut and let it dry.
- Paste the pieces over the stamped layer and decorate with some loops of natural thread and a button.
- Paste the decorated layer over the card base using dimensionals.
Simple and easy!
