Craft Organization
This is an excited day for all of us! We are celebrating the World Card Making Day with Joy Clair and I will sharing with you some of my tips for Craft Organization.
As tradition, along of the day Joy Clair will be announcing new challenges and the first is very easy: Show your work space or craft desk. My Atelier is very small and with the years the craft material is growing very fast. Let me start with a collage of how it looks right now.
If you want to compare the growing you can see the 2018 publication here and the 2015 here.
In addition to all the “full” spaces that I had, I decided to incorporate two rolling cars that are very versatile. One is from COSTCO and it is very similar to the popular Rolling Cars from other stores, the only difference is that mine has 4 tiers and not 3 tiers. HERE you can find a link of the most popular roller cars that came with different color options. I am waiting the delivery of one of these. I will show you how it will look.
My second car is a Deflecto Stackable Caddy that came with the rolls and with the option of add all the caddies that you need. Mine has three caddies and it rolled like a bird on my Atelier. I keep in the boxes, adhesives, inks and embellishments. I keep my complete collection of Sprinkles & Confetti from Kat Scrappiness totally organized on it and available to see what I want to use.
I have to be honest with you. A lot of you think that I am addicted to die cuts but … let me confess that I have hundreds of inks. Of course I have my favorites and my essentials but I need to make place for all that I have and keep them close to my hand.
Searching for solutions that don’t take a lot of space, because I don’t have it, I found an excellent idea using the 12×12 plastic clear boxes. They are stackable and also let me keep the inks in a secure position. I can carry any box with my inks next to my desk and enjoy my happy time stamping!
During the last year, I happily started to coloring and of course, I need to made some arrangements in my atelier to find place to my new markers. Now I have my new collection of Spectrom Noir Coloring System and Illustrators, just right to my hand using these marker storage . All my other coloring mediums are organized in a big drawer behind of me. I have many brands of color pencils, alcohol markers, watercolors and coloring books that I don’t have enough time to use them but that I love to use when I am taking my relaxing time.
This has been all for now. Latter I will be posting different things to celebrate the World Card Making Day with Joy Clair.
