DIMENSIONAL BACKGROUND CARD
Hello everyone! If you know me or follow me maybe you know that I always say that stencils are my endless love. Today, I am sharing with you a card created with a dimensional stencil.
When I say dimensional , I am referring to stencils that you can move or rotate to create special effects. On this card I am using the Weave Builder Stencil from Altenew with two different colors of Memento Ink, Lulu Lavender and Grape Jelly.
Directions:
- Take a piece of whisper white card stock and secure your stencil with masking tape.
- Select the colors of Memento Ink that you want to use. I suggest uing familiar colors if you want to create a “progressive effect”
- Start applying the dark color with a jumbo dauber or if you want you can also use a brush. In my sample it is the Grape Jelly.
- Rotate your stencil and form the pattern that you would like.
- Follow the process with the soft color of ink.
- Resize the stenciled layer and paste directly over the mat and card base.
- Using Vellum cardstock, cut the butterfly design. In my model I used two different layers , the A and D, from the Sparkler Butterfly Stackable Dies.
- Create some loops using linen thread and paste over the card using glue dots.
- Paste over the thread the vellum butterfly and decorate on the center with an irResistable drop.
- Finish the card adding a stamped sentiment. In my model I used one sentiment included on the stamp set Life’s Breeze from Joy Clair Stamps.
