Hello friends, I just pop up to share an easy watercolor technique with AquaBlend pencils from Spectrum Noir. I am featuring a sentiment from the Faith Quotes stamps set from Joy Clair Designs and more.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Stamp the images onto Premium Watercolour card stock from Spectrum Noir using Finesse Water Proof Dye Ink Noir Black. I used two sentiments from the Faith Quotes Stamp set and the Hydrangea Large stamp from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps. Easy watercolors with AquaBlend pencils
  2. Select the AquaBlend colors that you want to use to color the flowers. I am using Blush, Bubblegum and Berry. Easy watercolors with AquaBlend pencils
  3. Color each petal of the flower in the same way. For me is better to work in small surfaces or flower by flower.
  4. After apply the color directly from the pencil, take an aqua brush or aqua painter and spread the color. You can control the intensity of the color adding more or less water.

  5. Let the paper dry or speed the process with a heat tool.
  6. Repeat the process with the leaves. I am using three different AquaBlend colors, Moss, Shire Green and Dandelion.

  7. If you want to enhance shadows or tones, you can add more color with the paint brush and water.

To finalize the card, I just resized the colored layer with a embossed edge rectangle die and added some white touches to the flowers with a white gel pen.

During this different moments that we are living, coloring is for me the most relaxing time. You don’t need to have a lot of products, just a few colors that you like and a piece of paper to start exploring.

Thank you for stopping by and see you soon with more inspirational ideas!
