Faux Watercolor stamped card
Hi there! Today I am up in Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps Blog featuring a faux watercolor stamped card that I made using the Butterfly 3 and the sentiment Take Fly.
To create this card, I used the acrylic block technique that I shared a few days ago HERE. It is a simple technique that consist in apply the ink directly with the ink pad over an acrylic block and spray the ink with water or another liquid medium. If you apply more water you can create a faux watercolor effect and it was what I made to create the ink block over whisper white card base. I used two different colors of dye ink from Catherine Pooler, sprayed it with water and placed the inked block over the card stock. I let the paper dry naturally.
I stamped the sentiment Take Flight under the watercolor block with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and in a separate piece of whisper white card stock, I stamped the Butterfly 3 with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with coordinating colors of Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I fussy cut the Butterfly 3 with scissors and pasted over the decorated card base with a glue dot.
Remember that this month the promotion of stamps in Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps is simply amazing: The Friendship, ladies and love category stamps are 20% OFF. This promotion is available until July 31st HERE.
