Ink Blossom with Memento Luxe
I love to use different inks and create textures with them and this month our color challenge “Aubergine” gave me this opportunity. I made a blossom card using Memento Luxe Ink and coloring two elements wood and tape. Do you want to look my card?
To make this card I used a double step stamping set. I selected the Love Blooms from Close to My Heart that gives me the opportunity to have a lineal and a textured image at the same time. I stamped first the lineal flowers using the darker color of Memento Luxe. This is a pigment ink that you can emboss if you want and use with many surfaces like card stock, vellum, shrink or plastic and wood.
After stamping the lineal images with Elderberry Memento Luxe, I stamped the textured detail of each flower using Sweet Plum Memento Luxe. I did not emboss these stamped images, but to speed up the drying process of the ink you can use the heat tool.
To decorate one of the borders of this stamped panel, I pasted a strip of Tear It! tape. I removed the film from the adhesive and covered the strip with Vintagle Plum Embossing Powder and then melted the powder with the heat tool.
I resized the layer and pasted directly over a card base created with Elegant Eggplant card stock.
STEP BY STEP
As final touch I took a natural wood word to be added over the card but to make this more special I just sprayed with Lilac Walnut Ink and let dry for a few minutes before pasting it over my card with On Point Glue.
