It’s a Boy Pinwheel Card

Hi there! Today I am excited to share with you this It’s a Boy Pinwheel Card that I made using the stamp set Happy Fourth of July from Joy Clair Stamps…. released one year ago. Noooo, you read well and I am not crazy, you know that I love to stretch my stamps and why not use this set more often?

It's a Boy Pinwheel Card

My idea was to only use the pinwheel as main image and create a sentiment with the Oh Baby, stamp set that is perfect for baby announcements or congratulations.

The base of my card is Very Vanilla card stock and I cut a second layer using the same color of card stock. Over this layer I stamped randomly the pinwheel image included on the set Happy Fourth of July with VersaFine Clair Nocturne.

I stamped each image and then covered it with Clear Embossing Powder. Since VersaFine Clair is a new and versatile pigment ink, you can cover the images with the embossing after you finish the stamping process, and only melt the powder once at the end.

I pasted the stamped layer directly over the card base and then I decided to create a belt or banner to stamp the message from the Oh Baby stamps set, using the same ink, VersaFine Clair Nocturne with clear embossing powder and stamp in a separate piece of paper another pinwheel.

To finalize the card, I pasted the banner with dimensionals and fussy cut the pinwheel with scissors.

As a final touch I colored some strips of the pinwheel image with blue copic markers and added some mini blue sequins.

With this idea you have more inspiration to stretch your stamps and personalize only with colors! Easy and quick!
