LEAVE A LITTLE SPARKLE
Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here to share with you a summer card that I made using the fabulous PowderPuff Chalk Inks. Yes, these inks are perfect to create amazing backgrounds and to color or stamp images. Take a look at my card:
To create this card I used two different types of images: the woman is a digital image from A Day from Daisies and the sentiment is a rubber stamp that I stamped with PowderPuff Chalk Ink Midnight Confessions. The common part on these images is that I used PowderPuff Chalk Ink to color the digital image using a blender pen.
For the body suit I used PowderPuff Chalk Ink Hydrangea and for the hat I used PowderPuff Chalk Ink Pixie Pink, Aqua and Seabrook. I printed the image over card stock using my Canon PIXMA TS 9020 and then, using a Scallop Stitched Double Circle Die from Peek a Boo Designs, I cut the design.
For the background I created a card base and cut a second layer using a piece of the striped side of the Honeycomb 104. I inked this layer with three different colors of PowderPuff Chalk Ink: Light Moss, Green Leaf and Navy.
I pasted the layer directly over the card base and decorated the left side with a corrugated piece of card stock that I inked with PowderPuff Hydrangea.
Finally I assembled all the pieces using dimensionals and decorated with some color drops I created using Novu Crystal Drops.
The PowderPuff Chalk Inks are perfect to give texture and dimension. You can use them by combining colors or alone, with stamps or stencils, with sponges, brushes or simply applying the ink directly from the pad. Their colors are vibrant and blend easily.
