MONOCHROMATIC ROMANTIC BAGS
Creating packages is one of my passions, so making these using old books and a monochromatic theme was very exciting for me. I wanted to make something romantic and simple, so I decided to create small bags to put sachets or aroma leaves inside. Here is my tutorial on how to create these:
Directions:
- Take and book and cut some pages from this. I decided to buy a book in a dollar store to use for my projects. Select the colors of ink that you want to use, one brayer and the die cut to cut the bag.
- Ink the brayer with the color of Memento Ink that you want to use and apply the ink in each page. I used three different colors of ink to follow the monochromatic theme. I used Lulu Lavender, Lilac Posies and Grape Jelly. Wash your brayer between each application of color ink. Don’t worry about your brayer – Memento Ink is easily washed with water.
My apologies but I just noticed that when I took the photo, I accidentally placed the wrong ink box next to it. I used Lulu Lavender for that package.
- Using each inked sheet, cut the die cut of the Mini Thread Bag and assemble it.
- Put the content inside of the bags, fold the open border and tie with a purple thick twine.
- To decorate the package of bags I created a flower using circle scallops that I cut from a page of the book. I cut 8 scallops and then secured all of these on the center with a purple metal brad. I then folded each of these to the center with my hands.
- When the flower was created, I sprayed it with Grape Jelly and Lilac Posies Fireworks to give color and then pasted it over the bags using a dimensional.
