My favorite color medium
Hi friends, today I will reveal a secret… my favorite color medium. You know that coloring is one of the best things for my creative life and normally I use alcohol markers but color pencils are my favorites.
Coloring with pencils is more time consuming for me. However, I prefer them because I can explore more colors and blend different families like I made on this card. The flower is from the Spring Rose Digital Stamp from Joy Clair Designs. I just resized it and printed onto white smooth card stock.
Then, I started the coloring process with the ColourBlend Pencils from Spectrum Noir. I really like the pigment of these color pencils and how they blend between different tones. On this card, I mixed pink and blues and obtained a beautiful purple tones.
To complete the look, I created a textured around the flower with the Abstract Triangle Stencil and embossing paste. When the paste was totally dry, I just inked the free areas with distress ink and resized the entire layer with the large size of the Cloud Nested Labels Dies. As final touch the sentiment that I die cut with a Embossed Edge Circle Die and decorated with a tiny bow from Cherist, a Large Die Club from Spellbienders.
