National Coffee Day Celebration
The National Coffee Day Celebration continue with Joy Clair Stamps, my favorites clear stamps!
Oh My God! I love this card. First because I experiment a different technique for me using Gel Press Plates with paint to create this background and I love the results.
I have my Gel Press Plates form almost two years and they were stocked in my Atelier and to be honest at the beginning I was afraid to use them but then I totally forgot that I have it, so for my is new discovered.
To create the background I used a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and Plaid Acrylic Paints in three different colors with a stencil. I used the metallic version of the Plaid paints and I love it.
The process was to simple: just add a few drops of paint over the Gel Press Plate and mix them with the brayer or roller. Then I placed the stencil and when I was ready to create the impression, I just added the stencil, then removed it and placed my cardstock on top, pressed it with the hand and voila, my background was just I wanted.
If you noticed I created and angle on the design and to make this I just placed a piece of scrap paper over the stenciled area.
But like the theme of this post is the National Coffee Day Celebration with Joy Clair Stamps, I finalized my card with a cup of coffee that I stamped over a separate piece of Whisper White card stock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. This cup is part of the stamp set Christmas Cocoa and the sentiment is part of the Coffee Quotes stamp set. I fussy cut both pieces and pasted over my background with dimensionals.
