Pinecones for Christmas
Pinecones for Christmas are a real tradition and I love them. So Suzy Stamps has two beautiful options on the most recently collection and in today’s project I am using the big Pinecone to celebrate New Year!
I started this card creating the card base on real red cardstock. My favorite color for Christmas projects. Then I dry embossed a second layer of very vanilla cardstock with the Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder from Stampin Up and pasted directly over the card base.
In a separate piece of very vanilla cardstock, I stamped two pinecones using Early Espresso Classic Ink and then with Stampin Markers Soft Suede and Crumb Cake I colored each part of the pinecone creating different shadows. I fussy cut both with scissors.
Before to paste the pinecones over the card I cut three pine branches in old olive and wild wasabi cardstock with the Forest Pine Branch from Memory Box and four star flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies in real red cardstock. With these pieces I created a base to paste host the pinecones and then add a sentiment that I obtained from masking the stamp Merry Christmas Brush and stamped with Real Red Classic Ink.
