Hi there, Today I’m excited to join Rita Barakat & Plaid Blog Hop. Today we are featuring a great combination of styles and designs and the design team is exited with that. Welcome!

Rita Barakat & Plaid Blog Hop

My first project is a set of book marks that I made combining the paints from Plaid with the stamps of Rita Barakat.  To create these I used gelli plates and stencils.

As I told you, to make the backgrounds I used gelli plates with two different colors of Folk Art Color Shift Metallic Paints from Plaid. I used the Yellow Flash and the Pink Flash, my favorite colors! With the help of a brayer, I spread the paint over the gelli plate and placed a stencil with geometric designs to transfer the design to the gelli. Then I just placed my card stock over it, removed and voila, the designs were transfer and I love the results.

The Falk Art Color Shift from Plaid, dryes very quick and I just wait some minutes to stamp four different stamps from Rita Barakat. I used the Ballerina, Rita and Beth, Floral Mermaid and Princess Mermaid. I stamped the images using StazOn Pigment Ink Piano Black.

My second project is a wood box that I painted with Folk Art Color Shift Dragon Flash Paint from Plaid and sealed with Mod Podge Ultra Matte and decorate with the Be True Die Cut Collection from Rita Barakat.

The process was very simple too. I just applied two layers of Folk Art Color Shift Dragon Flash directly to the box and let the paint dry. In a while,  printed some of the images included on the Be True Die Cut Collection from Rita Barakat. I fussy cut the images with my scissors and pasted over the box using Mod Podge Matte Ultra.

To decorate the box inside, I used a different color of Folk Art Color Shift Pink Flash. I love how my box turned out inside, this is a very brilliant color that contrast great with the blue die cut from Rita.
