Romantic Mother’s Day Card
Hi there, I just pop up to share a romantic Mother’s Day Card featuring Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps, Peony Large and Everything You Mean, two of my favorites for this day.
I believe that mother’s day must be all days. Sometimes is necessary to make special cards to celebrate the most important woman at the house. My romantic mother’s day card is a clear card created with a watercolor technique that I have been sharing during the last days. This time, I replaced the Harmony Water Reactive Ink by Tri-Colour Aqua Markers from Spectrum Noir. I applied the color from the markers directly over my water media mat, color by color, sprayed with water and then, placed the layer of white smooth card stock over the inked area.
When the paper was totally dry, I repeated the process for each color until was satisfied. The final step was not with a watercolor marker, it was with Sparkle Glitter Pen, Pink Champagne. Then, I resized the layer with the large size of the FaDoodle Frames Scalloped Rectangles Dies from Whimsy Stamps. Additionally, I pasted the decorated layer over the white smooth card base.
In a separate piece of White Smooth card stock, I stamped the Peony Large with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored very soft. Then, I fussy cut with scissors and pasted over the decorated layer with 3D Foam Squares. Then, on the center of the card, I stamped the sentiment Everything You Mean with VersaFine Pigment Onix. As final touch, I added the shadow word MOM that I die cut onto Rinea Gold/Glossy Foilde Paper and Melon Mambo card stock.
