SHAPED CARDS WITH HERO ARTS

Shaped cards with Hero Arts is the theme for the challenge this month on A2z Scrapbooking Supplies and I have to be honest this was a real challenge for me. Why? I don’t know. Maybe because I was in my comfort zone making the same sized cards all the time and now I had to do something different. Well here it is and let me share with you how I made this:

To start I used one of my favorites stamp sets Color Layering Butterflies with different colors of ink. But first  I created a card base using a Cross Stitched Die Cut from Gina Marie Designs (my favorite design). I used the larger size. Then I cut the second layer using the next size and the same card stock, Whisper White. I stamped the butterflies using three different colors of ink for the first layer  or base: I used Tide Pool, Soft Pink and Butter Bar Ink. For the detailed image I used Tangerine Bold Ink and for the body and sentiment Sahara Sand Classic Ink.

I decided to cut first the circles and then stamp the images because I wanted to have the images partially over the card and using the circle I can decide the exact place to stamp them.
