Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club
Hello there! This is the last month of the year and for me is time to decide the best things for me and one of the best things that I found this year were the Spellbinders Month Clubs. If you haven heard about these, today I will show you the December Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Club.
This month and each month you will receive a kit of small dies. The above photo show you the dies included on December Small Die Club. With them I created some cards that I want to share with you. This kit include 2 circle and scallop dies, three different circle designs of sentiments, two branches, one flower and one leaf – what more could you ask for! (All these dies for $12.50 you can’t go wrong and if you add the large die of the month club the prize could be better $30.00 for both kits!). This is my first time receiving the kit and I am blown away by the dies and their value!
I created three different cards to show you each die in action. Today I will show them but let me tell you that the dies included on December kit are perfect for birthday’s, Christmas and special occasions.
My first card is a whisper white card base with a little small second layer white too. I pasted temporary both layers to cut at the same time a circle window in the lower part of the card. To cut the window I used the circle die cut included on the set. This circle coordinate perfectly with the messages included and with the scallop die.
After cut the circle windows, I separate the card base and the layer and inked the lateral side of the card base with two different colors of green distress ink keeping in mind that I want to used the card base as mat for the second layer.
Then using the branches included on the December Spellbinders Small die of the Month Club, I created a decorated border and pasted the second layer over the card base using dimensionals or double sided foam tape. I decorated the top layer with the flower and leaf included on this club.
Behind of the window, over the base of the card I pasted one of the messages that I cut using the circle sentiment and then the scallop circle but if you don’t want to use the scallop border you can also cut with the circle border.
My second card is different from my traditional format. It is a folded card with a half window. To create this you use the same size of card stock, 4-1/4″x11″ and you made the score lines on the long size in 4-1/4″ and 8-5/8″, then you cut a circle with the die included in the center of the second score line. The next steps are just decoration.
On this card I used another sentiment included on the December Spellbinders Small die Club and complemented with a word included on the Spellbinders stamp set Sentimental Words, that is a gift this month to all members of the Club to celebrate the Club Member Appreciation Month!
I just stamped the sentiment with VersaMark and WOW White Pearl Embossing Powder.
The last card is a stenciled card that I made combining different colors of inks to create a dimensional effect.
On this card I decorated the center with the scallop circle and pasted two different layers of the third message included on the Small Die of the Month Club. The layers are from different colors. One is white and the other is blue. I pasted both a little moved to have this look.
