Star Fusion Coverplate
Hello everyone, today I have a new product to share with you. I am featuring the new Star Fusion Coverplate from Kat Scrappiness. You knew my passion for their die cuts and this new release is just fabulous!
For my first card I used Bashful Blue card stock for the card base and whisper white card stock to cut the Star Fusion Coverplate. If you are asking where is the white let me tell you that I covered it with different colors of Fireworks. I started the process with a simple piece of whisper white card stock. I sprayed this piece with Fireworks and let the paper dry naturally but if you want to speed the process you can use your heat tool. I love to use Fireworks because they add a shimmer touch to my creations.
When the paper was dried I pass it with the Star Fusion coverplate through my die cut machine and if you accept me tip keep the little stars that resulted as negative part to use them on shaker cards!
I pasted the star fusion coverplate directly over the card base and decorated the left side with a strip of Poppy Parade card stock that I embossed with a 3D embossing folder from We R Memories. I pasted the strip with dimensionals or double sided foam tape to give more dimension. Then in a separate piece of Whisper White card stock I stamped some flowers from the stamp set Reckless Love from Joy Clair and fussy cut them with my scissors. I arranged the flowers on the lower part of the card and pasted them with foam tape. Finally, I added the sentiment that I cut with the small die form the Sentiments Strips Die Cuts from Kat Scrappiness.
My next card was made also using the Star Fusion Coverplate but this time, I made a partial die cutting technique. I created a card base with Whisper White card stock and inked the top layer with two different colors of distress ink. I used the Abandoned Coral for the upper part and the Mustard Seed for the lower. I sprayed the entire layer with Sheer Shimmer Frost.
I took a layer of whisper white card stock and made the partial cutting of the Star Fusion Coverplate. I also sprayed this layer with the shimmer sheer and pasted over the card base with double sided foam tape to enhance the colorful background. To finalize the card, I just stamped one sentiment and the spring image from the stamp set Spring Stroll of Joy Clair and stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I fussy cut in silhouette the image and cut the sentiment with one Sentiments Strip Die Cuts. As final touch, I just added a very tiny strip of pink ribbon over the left side of the card.
Did you like the Star Fusion Coverplate? I love it and I am sure that you will see it in more of my projects!

Beautiful and stunning! That cutout makes a striking show to the cards. Thank you for sharing your talents.
I love the partial die cut card, but have no idea how to do this! Would you be so kind in sharing this procedure? Thanks!
