Hello, today I want to share some tips and details to create a Summer Stamped Card with different stamps from Crackerbox Stamps. Let me start showing you the card:

Summer Stamped Card

Summer is around the corner and we all celebrate it with traditional hamburgers! On this opportunity, I used White Smooth Cardstock to create all the card. First, I made the card base and then I created the second layer. For it, I stamped the Buffalo Background using VersaFine Satin Red Ink from Imagine Crafts. To have a complete and uniform coverage, I used the MISTI but you can use any stamped tool.

In a separate piece of White Smooth Cardstock, I stamped the Hamburger and the Jar. Like I was colored the images with Alcohol Markers, I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then, I colored the Images with TriBlend Markers from Spectrum Noir and used some Classique Markers to enhance some details.

TIPS:

I colored the bread of the Hamburger with the TriBlend Fair Skin Blend. And colored the limonade with Classique Marker IB1 and GT1. Normally, I used two or three tones of the same family of colors to create different tones and shades. You don’t need to have a big collection of markers, just with a few colors you can create your own tones.

Another thing that I made on this card was the straw. The original image of the Jar does not include it. I just draw it a Marker and then colored in the same way that I always color. Just keep in mind that if you draw your own images, you need to use a pen or marker safety for the alcohol inks and water resistant. Some of these are the Fine-Liners or Pigment Liners.

Like the Jar image is considelly small than the Hamburger, I used it on behind of the burger and extended with the straw. It is another tip that you can use when you are creating looks with different stamps and not all are in the same size.

To finalize the card, I added some clay dots in turquoise or blue color. I used this tone because this color don’t appear a lot in my coloring and create a great contrast effect.  To paste it, I used the Glue Pen Dual Tip Liquid Adhesive and for the stamps and background, 3D Foam Squares, all from Scrapbook Adhesives and available at Joy Clair Designs Store.

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon with more inspiration!
