Vintage Background Card
Different backgrounds created not only with stamps are trending and if you make that on Craft cardstock you can obtain a good Vintage look. VersaMagic is more versatile that you can think, specialty when the idea of watercolor is around.
Directions:
- Cut a piece of crumb cake (craft) cardstock of 4-1/4″x5-1/2″. Take a background stamp and stamp it using VersaMagic Cloud White. Use one stamp with a lot of free space inside or any good image for coloring and cover the stamped image with white embossing powder. Melt the powder with the heat tool.
- Apply VersaMagic Cloud White Ink over your craft mat and spray it with water. “Paint” your stamped image with the mix created on with the water using a paint brush or aquapainter. Let the paper dry well.
- Apply a few touches of VersaFine Ink Clair Warm Breeze over the mat and paint one of the borders of the stamped background following the pattern.
- Take an ink pad of Memento Ink and apply it over the mat. In my project I used Memento Tangelo. Repeat the painting/coloring process using an aquapainter or paint brush. Let the paper dry.
- Resize your stamped layer and paste it over a white card base using double sided foam tape or dimensionals.
- In my model, I used a Die Cut leaf heat embossed with Sparkle Embossing Powder . Also I added a sentiment stamped with VersaFine Clair Warm Breeze over a piece of white cardstock.
I paste the stamped image with a mat created on vellum with the die cut in between.
