WE HAVE POINSETTIAS
Hello friends, we have poinsettias to share with you in So Suzy Stamps! Well, not exactly, but we have some stamps to create our own poinsettias and today I will share my version with you. Take a look at my card:
To create this card I used the stamp Ornament Bulb Stripe released this month and it was very easy convert this stamp into a flower. Let me tell you how to make this:
- Cut the Whisper White base. The size is 4″x5-1/4″
- Stamp the image of the Ornament Bulb Stripe stamp using VersaFine Satin Red on the right corner.
- On a separate piece of paper stamp the Ormanent Bulb Stripe and cut it with scissors to create the petals. Cut as many you need. I stamped mine with the same ink but this time I covered them with Candy Red Embossing Powder and melted them with the heat tool.
- Assemble your flower using glue dots and cover the center with a green circle punch. I dry embossed mine to have more details on my poinsettia.
- To finalize the decoration I cut a Merry Christmas sentiment using a die cut from Gina Marie Designs and designer paper – the same paper that I used to add a decorated left border on this layer.
- Paste the decorated layer over a card base. For the card base I selected a Crumb Cake card stock. The size is 4-1/4″x11″ with score in 5-1/2″.
- As final touch I added two dots with Crystal Drops Bottle Green.
Easy and fun!
This is a great card that you can create in series and using different colors of embossing or paper to obtain different looks. I hope my project inspires you and come back soon to see my garden of inspiration or do you not believe that we have poinsettias? See you soon!
