SPONGING WITH CLASSIC INK

Sponging with classic ink was the technique that I used to create the card that I share with you today. I made this card using two stamp sets from Skipping Stones Designs: Imagine and Hearty Hello. Take a look at my card:

SPONGING WITH CLASSIC INK

To create the background of this card I used four different colors of Classic Ink that I applied with jumbo daubers.

First I created a masking area to concentrate the color. I first applied Soft Sky Classic Ink on the left side, then I continued with Marina Mist Classic Ink, Wisteria Wonder Classic Ink and Elegant Eggplant Classic Ink. I applied the ink in circular form with jumbo daubers, just like we would with a blending tools or sponges. Sponging with classic ink is a very fun and simple technique.

Then I stamped at the same time the butterfly from the Imagine stamp set and the Hello word from the Hearty Hello stamp set, both from Skipping Stones, using Versafine Imperial Purple and my Mini Misti.

With the cross stitched border from Stitched Bordes from Lawn Fawn I cut the top and bottom borders and I pasted the layer directly over the card base. As a final touch I added some tiny dots created with Silver Moondust Glitter Drops from Nuvo Crystal Drops.

This is a very clear and beautiful card and you can change the colors of classic ink and find beautiful combinations that you will love! These two stamp sets come with different images and words that are perfect for this purpose.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope my project inspired you! Sponging with classic Ink is really fun!

See you soon!
