Christmas Joy with Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps

Hello friends, today I am up in Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps Blog and I wake up with Christmas mood. I need to confess that I am “Santa fan” and this image is simply adorable.

Normally I have to make a lot of Christmas cards and I found this idea fun and special. Let me share with you how to make it:

1. Cut the card base using Basic Black card stock.
2. Create a second layer using Ruby/Gold Glossy Rinea Foiled Paper. It add a very special and unique touch to the entire card.
3. Take a piece of designer paper with antique style. I am using a musical design but I decided to create a “wash” effect over the paper to down the color and make it more clear. The secret is too simple, I just “painted” the designer paper with Distress Stain – picket fence– look how easy it is. On the bellow photo the original paper is on right side and the “washed” paper is on the left.
4. Let the designer paper dry before to stamp over it.
5. Stamp the images Santa with Glasses and Joy using VersaFine Clair Pine Cone and clear embossing powder over the washed paper.
6. Melt the powder with the heat tool.
7. Resize the layer and create a mat with basic black card stock.
8. Embellish the card with a jumbo rhinestone.
