Dimension with stencil and inks

Hello there, today I have a card that I made creating dimension with stencil and inks. I used the Harmony Water Reactive Inks from Spectrum Noir and the Diamond Fade Stencil.

This is an easy project that you can create using a regular stencil. It add dimension to your design and is very fun to make.

ABOUT THE CARD:

  1. Fix the stencil over the card stock and secure it. Additionally select 4 colors of Harmony Water Reactive Ink by pairs.
  2. Mentally, divide your layer in two sides. For the right side I used Fuchsia and Crushed Velvet for the left side. Apply the ink with a brush blender or any blending tool. Try to keep the center or the card with soft colors.
  3. Remove the stencil and place it again a little moved from the original design. You can select the direction that you want. Repeat the process using the another two colors of Harmony Ink Water Reactive.

In my sample I used the Ocean blue and the Honey Pot.
  4. Remove the stencil and if you want spread some drops of water to activate the ink or just keep it natural.
  5. Then, resize the layer and paste it over the card base using Crafty Foam Tape.
  6. To embellish my card and don’t compete with the background, I die cut the Thank You word in two different colors, combined then and pasted on the lower part to left the dimension created with the stencil as focal point.

You can use any combinations of inks and different stencil patterns to explore your best combinations.

Thank you for stopping by!
