HI there! I just pop up to share with you the easy faux shimmer coloring with shimmer paper and illustrator markers from Spectrum Noir.

Faux Shimmer Coloring

I am fascinated with this faux technique and a lot of you have been asking how to make it. It is real simple and the trick is use shimmer paper to stamp your images. In my sample I stamped the new Blooming Texture stamp from RG Avenue into White Shimmer using Finesse Alcohol Proof Dye Ink Noir Black from Spectrum Noir.

Then I start coloring with Triblend Markers from Spectrum Noir. It is the most easy way to use the alcohol markers. Each pen came with 3 different colors, light, medium and dark and you can work only with one piece.

With TriBlends, I prefer to start with the dark color, continue with the Medium and finalize with the light. Below you can see the colors that I used to create my look.

To make the card more attractive, I splattered the card base with two different greens of Harmony Water Reactive Dye Ink.

I pasted the colored piece with crafty foam tape and stamped the Thinking of You Vertical sentiment.
