Faux Shimmer Technique

Hello crafty friends, today I have a faux shimmer technique to share with you. I am featuring Martha’s Flowers from Joy Clair Designs and Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir. Take a look of my first card:

Faux Shimmer Technique

I stamped the large image of Martha’s Flowers over White Shimmer card stock using VersaFine Onix. This card stock is perfect to create a special shimmer over the images after colored them. To color the image, I used Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir. I used markers from the same family like DP1 , DP2 and DP3, PP1, PP2 and PP3, DG2 and LV1 for the green succulent.

I fussy cut them and resized with a circle die. Then, I mat it with the zig zag Stitched Circle die. In addition, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set Best Buds with VersaFine Onix Ink. To decorate the card base I used a blushing bride layer stitched with the Stitched Woodgrain Cover Up Die.

To make my second card, I used other part of the same large image and colored it with the same colors of Illustrator Markers.  I just coordinated the colors of the flowers with the colors of Harmony Ink that I used to make the background.
