How to Make a Swing Card
Hello there! Today I want to share the most easy way to create interactive cards, in other words, how to make a swing card!
My swing card is featuring stamps from the most recently release of Crackerbox. This release has great sentiments and images that are wonderful to create masculine cards and to make many occasions cards. The stamps are Super Guy and Best Dad Ever Sentiment.
To make the base of the card, I used a simple set of die cuts. They are the Swing Card Circles from Gemini by Crafter’s Companion. This set of die cuts include the central part that brings the movement to the card and three decorative circles. You can combine the circles or use them alone to have your sentiments and images.
On my Swing Card, I used the Best Dad Ever sentiment and the Super Guy stamp. I stamped both images onto white smooth cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. First, I die cut the sentiment Best Dad Ever using the small size of the circle included on the Swing Card Circle Set. Then, I colored the Super Guy with TriBlend Markers from Spectrum Noir.
The colors of TriBlend Markers that I used were Earth Brown Shades, Fair Skin Blend, True Blue Blend, Light Yellow Blend, Citrus Blend and Ice Grey Blend. Also, I cut the Super Guy image with scissors to have when the card swing.
To decorate the Swing Card, I use designer paper from the Spring Fever Collection Paper Pad by Crafter’s Companion. In addition with a few black clay stars from the sprinkles collection by Kat Scrappiness.
Something to keep in mind, is that the Swing Card Die Collection has different shapes that you can use. On today’s project, I used the circles but they also come in other shapes like hexagon, butterfly and heart!
