Joy Clair Designs & Imagine Blog Hop: Better Together

Hi there, today is a special day for me. Joy Clair Designs and Imagine are celebrating a Blog Hop. These two companies mean too much for me and definitely is Better Together.

If you come from Imagine Blog you are in perfect place. I am featuring three different projects realized with the great VersaColor Ink. Let me share my first card:

This is a non traditional color Christmas Card. I stamped the Poinsettia Images included on the stamp set 3D Chirstmas Poinsettia from Joy Clair Designs onto White Smooth Card Stock using VersaColor Charcoal and embossed them with Clear Embossign Powder from Imagine. Then, I repeated the process with the tiny branches, but this time, using VersaColor Opera Pink.

The 3D Christmas Poinsettia are stamps originally created to build 3D flowers or poinsettias and I always used in that way until now. On this opportunity, I used the stamp in simple way and let me tell you that the result is fabulous!

ANOTHER TECHNIQUE

One of the plus that VersaColor Ink offered is the possibility to use the ink to blend. Additionally, they are pigment inks that work great to create effects in your backgrounds. On the above card, I used tree different colors of VersaColor Ink Opera Pink, Pink and Heliotrope.

After inked the white smooth layer with the inks, I placed the Succulent Stencil over it and with the VersaColor White and sponge dauber, applied the ink over the free areas.

The final look is amazing and I wish the photos made justice to it. In addition, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set Band Together onto acetate with StazOn Black Jet Black and resized the decorated layer with the large size of the Loopy Border Rectangles Dies.

EASY BACKGROUND

My next project feature the stamp set Valentine Background Builder. This is a cool stamp set that include several borders to make your valentine cards but they can also be used to build a whole background, just like I made.

On the above card, I positioned the stamps in my stamping tool and inked the images with three different colors of VersaColor Ink: Opera Pink, Heliotrope and Pink. Then, I stamped all at one onto White Smooth Card Stock. In addition, I covered the it with Clear Embossing Powder to add more texture.

As final touch, I stamped one of the cute cats included on the stamp set Just Kitten with VersaColor Charcoal onto White Smooth Card Stock and fussy cut it with scissors.
