Mother’s Day Cards & More

Hi there! Today I’m excited to join the Mother’s Day Card & More event of Joy Clair Stamps.  My project  features the stamp sets Spring Time Flowers and the Hello Sentiments.

I randomly stamped the flowers of the stamp set Spring Time Flowers over Whisper White cardstock using VersaFine Onix Ink. Then I colored with Premium Colored Pencils from Leisure Arts.  This colors blend and mix fabulous and with them I decided to give different tones to each flower.

When the stamped layer was totally colored I cut the die cut sentiment to create more dimension on the card. I cut the letters I and U from the die cuts Big Alphabet from Stampin Up and one medium heart from the Hearts Thinlits collection by Stampin Up too.

I cut the same letters and heart on black foam to paste them behind of the colored letters and then assemble the card.

For the A BUNCH MOTHER sentiment, I combined two words included on the stamp set Hello Sentiments. I stamped the words over Basic Black cardstock using VersaMark Ink and white embossing powder. I just covered the final “S on the word MOTHER’S  to avoid on my sentiment.
