Hi there, today I really have something new here, the new VIVIVA Colors Watercolor Sheets. VIVIVA is product created by two talented and amazing crafters, Rohitha and Sarthak. They invite me to take a close look of it.

First, let me tell you that the concept of watercolor sheets is not a new concept. However, it has characteristics that made it really special. VIVIVA is a small size booklet that includes a 16 color palette. In addition, you don’t have to remove the color sheets from the book because they are separated by wax paper. For instance, they don’t mix together when wet.

I am not an water color expert, because I just coloring for fun and to relieve the stress, so I decided to start with one card and a single stamp. It is the sunflower included on the Thankful for You stamp set from Joy Clair Designs.

I stamped the sunflower onto watercolor card stock from Tonic Studios using VersaFine Onix Ink. Then, I initiated the coloring process. I noticed that the VIVIVA Colors are very pigmented. For me  it is great but you have to take care of don’t saturate your paint brush because this can interfere in the final result. Therefore, after my first steps all was under control and I ending coloring more that one sunflower. I let my watercolor flowers dry naturally before to finish my card.

CARD DETAILS:

After the sunflowers dried, I fussy cut them with scissors and created a slimline card. To arrange the flowers, I just cut some borders that then, I used in a different place. In addition, I pasted the flowers to the decorated card base created with White Smooth Card stock using 3D Foam Squares. As final touch, I added a Thanks Word Die.

One of the advantages mentioned on VIVIVA site, is the small size of the booklet and the possibility to be portable inside of a pocket. However I noticed that when you are using it, your hands will have inked, so you have to take care of don’t contaminate your project with another color. Honestly it is not a problem, but I considered it is important to know specialty when you like to work in clear areas.

MORE CARDS AND TIPS:

After finish my first “experiment with VIVIVA” I didn’t wanted to stop. That in my terms mean that I liked the product!

I decided to use a different stamp and a different technique. Like I noticed that if you don’t take care the colors can be mixed, I decided don’t have limits, only creativity and made a random coloring over a small piece of watercolor card stock from Tonic Studios.

Here is the result of my idea and let me told you that I like it because the process on this was short and simple. When the colored piece was dried, I stamped over it one of the images included on the stamp set Heartfelt Sympathy.

CARD DETAILS:

To stamp the flower image, I used VersaFine Onix and then, I splattered the entire layer with the Gold Ochre watercolor tone. It is included on the VIVIVA Watercolor Sheets. As a result, I could enhance some details inside of the stamped image and add a shimmer touch. To don’t compete and don’t cover the colored image I used the Congratulations Word Die.

My last card, was the last experiment of the day. Yes, because I made all the three cards in one crafty session. This time, I randomly stamped the Sunflower images onto Watercolor Card Stock. In addition, I colored with the VIVIVA watercolors the free areas. Honestly, I totally forgot to emboss this layer. Maybe it was the main reason for to have a little touches of color inside of the stamped images.

In conclusion, I think that VIVIVA WATERCOLOR SHEETS are:

  • Portable
  • Translucent
  • Blendable
  • Hight Pigmented
  • Brilliant
  • Easy to use and easy to experiment
  • And have an affordable price.

All of these reasons and many other details, that I didn’t noticed or mentioned made this a real revolutionary product. It is perfect for card makers or crafters. With them it is easy to learn, experiment or simply give an opportunity to a new product. VIVIVA COLORS is a new small business that worry and work very hard to bring us new and excellent products. In addition, they made every single day our crafty more easy and fun!
